As a Barclays Resilience Lead Support, you will be accountable for assisting the VP (Vice President) Resilience Lead to Deliver an acceptable Risk Appetite position assisting with ensuring compliance against the Barclays Group Resilience Policy and Standards.

You will also be Oversight of the following activities:

Crisis Management, Education & Awareness, Governance & Reporting, Risk Management, Analysis, Plan Development, Documentation and Maintenance, Information Technology Awareness and Business Validation.

What will you be doing?:


  • Ensuring the business adopts the Group's approach towards the management of Resilience
  • Ensuring resilience is appropriately owned within the business and embedded as part of business planning, management and development
  • Assisting the Resilience Leads in providing strategic direction and resilience guidance to all key stakeholders, including Senior Management (CEO, CIO and COO)
  • Providing assistance to Resilience Leads in supporting business areas in identifying and documenting Business Services and Important Business Services
  • Engaging with SME's to assess Enterprise Process, Supplier, Technology and Workforce / Premises resilience requirements
  • Assisting the Resilience Leads in leading the business in compiling and maintaining a Business Service Response Plan and Workforce Recovery Plans
  • Working with the Resilience Leads, assist the BU to drive the identification and remediation of gaps in Resilience and proactively identify & implement solutions
  • Supporting the business in the management of risk mitigation and appropriate governance

What we're looking for:


  • Experience in a regulated industry and Proven solid stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Analysis, creativity and innovation able to conceive original and practical solutions to complex and business critical problems
  • Proven track record of assisting the implementation of controls that improve the risk landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities including presentation and influencing, with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organisation

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience of working in a relationship management, advisory or consultancy role
  • Knowledge of threats, risks, impacts and associated mitigations as they relate to business resilience within a major banking organization
  • Operational Risk and Control experience

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Northampton.

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investmentin Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
