Job summary
Are you a highly motivated organised individual who would enjoy working with a company helping children and adults with a neurodisability? Are you looking for a new way to work alongside a passionate team trying new techniques and methods to improve day to day outcomes for individuals with chronic diseases? An opportunity has arisen to join the Able2B team cofounded by Rachael Hutchinson, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Jon Thaxton, former professional sportsman and experienced personal trainer.
The postholder will also have a supervisory role for more junior members of staff, volunteers and those on work experience.
They administrator role will include the following key duties:Main duties of the job
Managing office area
Main point of contact for personnel and external parties
Fielding enquiries in person and by phone
Managing correspondence and communications for Able2B
Book-keeping and data entry.
Invoicing
Maintenance of Able2B records
Schedule meetings and appointments using Glofox system
Oversight of company expenses and billing
Organising events and schedules
You will be supported by the co-founders and encouraged to develop new ideas and input into the development of the service as a whole.
Clients range from toddlers to 99+years Clients have a wide range of neuromuscular problems including Cerebral Palsy, MS, Parkinson's Disease, HSMN, post stroke and head injury.
Able2B has a variety of contracts with local nursing homes and other organisations such as British Blind Sport, Active Norfolk and the DWP.
A new, very exciting project with Possabilities in Gibraltar is currently being developed.There has also been recent investment in a new digital booking system, functional analysis systems, muscle stimulators and vibration therapy for spasticity.
There are other projects on the horizon over the next 6-12 months as Able2B expands and increases it's gym space.
Working hours are negotiable but would be expected to equate to 3 days a week (24 hours) falling between hours of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
- Development and delivery of high quality service to Able2B clients
- Initial assessment and development of management plans for new and existing clients
- Develop opportunities for rehabilitation which extends the scope of traditional Physiotherapy
- Work alongside the senior Able2B team to develop new initiatives and projects.
- Keep adequate records of clients' progress, develop and supervise research and outcome projects, support Able2B inclusion projects and work with other organisations.
- Support and work closely with the senior Able2B team on a day to day basis.
- Training and support of junior members of the team and volunteers to deliver high quality service.
- Governance, audit and mandatory training to be regularly updated.
About us
Able2B was set up 4 years ago to provide children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to improve their day to day function.
Jon Thaxton has many years of experience as both a boxer and trainer.
His years as a professional boxer, where he won major European and British titles, followed by vast experience as a personal trainer have given him the experience to understand how to get the most out of training and also made him an amazing motivator-helping people reach their goals and believe in their abilities.
Rachael Hutchinson has been an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Norwich for over 14 years, treating children and adults with physical disability and neuromuscular problems.
