Following a review of the service area and a restructure, we have a number of exciting opportunities to join the team.


As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for leading and conducting audits across a range of council services and functions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, and providing assurance and advice to senior management and elected members.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of undertaking medium to high risk audits across a wide range of areas
  • Previous demonstrable experience in audit, risk management, governance, or related fields
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement
This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of £32,076 - £35,745 per annum. You will also benefit from a generous annual leave entitlement, flexible working arrangements, pension scheme and other staff benefits.
