Children's Social Care Social Workers - Out of Hours Team (30hpw)

Salary range*:

Level 2:
£38,957 - £41,495 (includes £4,234 contractual supplement) plus 20% unsociable hours enhancement

Level 3:
£44,014 - £47,214 (includes £5,719 contractual supplement) plus 20% unsociable hours enhancement


We are looking for a enthusiastic and committed, qualified social worker (Social Work England registration required), of levels 2 and 3 experience to join our well-established Children's Out of Hours Team and help us achieve our vision for all our children, young people and families in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council.

We are looking for a colleague to join us to ensure children and their voices are at the heart of everything we do.

You will ensure this approach is embedded as a core ethos within the teams work which includes ensuring when children are at risk, or in need of immediate protection and those that require intervention when in crisis are safeguarded/supported appropriately.

You will be able to build effective relationships, demonstrate strong risk assessments, analytical skills, devise safety plans and work effectively as part of the social work team.


You will be expected to work unsociable hours which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays alongside the Team Manager, Assistant Team Managers and Social Workers in the team.

You will need to be local to the BCP area as there will be times when you will need to see children/young people and their families when working and to be able to work from the office locations which are currently based in Poole at weekends and during bank holidays.
