Complete Classroom Services are working with a SEMH school Located in Camden, who is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching educational environment for secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Who are committed to fostering positive relationships, building resilience, and empowering their students to achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team.


As a Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of secondary-aged pupils with diverse needs.

Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will provide individualised support and guidance to help students overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
  • Provide onetoone and small group support to students, including academic tutoring, behavior management, and emotional support.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting selfesteem, confidence, and resilience.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and interventions to support students in managing their emotions and behavior effectively.
  • Support students during transitions between activities, classes, and locations, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress, behavior incidents, and interventions.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with secondaryaged students with SEMH difficulties, preferably within a school setting.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH issues and their impact on learning and behavior.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting students with complex needs.
