Thetford

£21,000 - £35,000 (DOE)

Are you a confident and enthusiastic Buyer looking for a new role?

Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Buyer to work with one of our well-established clients based in Thetford.

Principle Responsibilities for the Buyer:


  • Responsibility of making sure that the parts for the manufacturing and sales orders are correct
  • Making sure that the price of procurement is monitored
  • Taking ownership of delivery dates
  • Work closely with the commercial team on projects
  • Understand how to calculate margins, exchange rates and excess stock value
  • Understand suitable suppliers to approach for parts needed
  • Liaise with suppliers on a daily basis and build good relationships with them
  • Understand or learn the basics of electrical components
  • Input purchase orders and ensure that part numbers, quantities, prices and delivery dates are correct
  • Resolve invoice queries
  • Assist the goods in and quality support team
  • Undertake administrational tasks

Person specification for the Buyer:


  • Can problem solve with resolutions
  • Can use excel, outlook and winman (preferable)
  • Experience in managing multiple projects ideally within a supply chain and manufacturing environment
  • Eye for details
  • Accuracy when processing data
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of electrical component parts (preferable)
This is a full-time permanent
Buyer position, working Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00.
