Security Operations (SOC) Analyst - £35,000 - Remote
We assist our clients with issue responses and security event monitoring to our variation of clients using Microsoft technology.

Currently we want to bring in more individuals for our SOC analyst position that provides assistance to our external and internal clients.


If you come from a background in deployment, support or even security operations and want to upskill yourself in Microsoft specified role, this would be the perfect position for you.


Us being a Microsoft Gold Partner, we invest greatly in providing training and give the time and assistance needed for you to attain certifications from Microsoft Security Operations Analyst all the way through to Microsoft Certified Security Administrator Associate.


Responsibilities

  • Tagging and notes of incident, initial event and needs from clients
  • 24/7 rota into 8 hour shift patterns (see below)
  • Inspection of event signals and communicating with clients and customers to verify closing
  • Provide first trigger acceleration/task as suitable

Experience

  • Knowledge of Information Security Principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, any of the following, Azure Active Directory, Azure Portal Microsoft 365 Suite.

Preferred experience

  • Previous knowledge in Security team or SOC
  • Understanding of EDR Tools
  • Microsoft Certifications
  • Knowledge of EDR tools

  • 3x 8 hour shifts
  • 6 week cycle, 7 days on 4 days off and 7 days on 3 days off twice
  • Average 35 hours per week
  • 2 weekends per month, one 3 days and one 4 days
  • No return to shift at midnight on Monday after a weekend off
