The Role:
We are seeking a Principal Drug Safety Associate to join our established Drug Safety Department in Swansea, UK.


You will be the point of contact for Drug Safety for each clinical trial which will require not only Drug Safety skills but team leadership skills and client management skills.

In this position the Principal Drug Safety Associate

  • Serves as Lead and coordinates large and/or global teams of drug safety associates and safety data coordinators on project level, serves as the drug safety point of contact for study teams on project level
  • Provides technical and process oversight with respect to safety services to clients
  • Reports project status (including monthly metrics) within agreed timelines
  • Interacts with clients and participates in client meetings as necessary to support and maintain new business
  • Mentors new staff in the skills of triage, data entry, assessment and distribution ensuring they are able to enter data into the database correctly, code medical terms and write narratives
  • Supports the SRM management team in the development of training courses as well as SOPs and associated documents
