We're looking for a Senior Delivery Service Operator to join our team in the Exeter area.

The purpose of the role is to lead, deploy, motivate & engage the depot-based delivery operations team to achieve agreed customer service levels and ensuring customer orders are picked & delivered in accordance with the agreed planned schedule.


ABOUT THE JOB:

  • Manage the daily performance of the hub/depot based Delivery Operations Team driving performance to achieve agreed customer service levels and ensuring all delivery administration & stock rotation activities are completed to the required standard.
  • Manage the utilisation of the Delivery Service Team in the hub/depot and in support of the region.
  • Scheduling of customer adhoc delivery activities in accordance with customer segmentation categorisation
  • Day to day workplace & facilities management of the hub/depot ensuring excellent standards of housekeeping, adherence to safe systems of work, and managing and/or escalating any non
- conformances or issues as required.

  • Leads workplace & facilities management audit improvement activities with support from Regional Operations Manager.
  • Manage product & consumables stock lifecycle processes regular stock takes, forecasting, ordering, adjustments, responsible waste disposal, and identification of stock writeoffs.
  • Escalate any team member achievements or performance/conduct concerns to the Regional Operations Manager.
  • Ensures compliance to all legal, people, workplace & facilities management policies & practices and the OOH governance framework within region
  • Oversees the daily fleet checks to ensure vehicles are fit for purpose and portray the required external image of Vimto OOH.
  • Contributes to the development of standard operating procedures and standardised training processes and documentation.
  • Pick customer orders and deliver in accordance with planned schedule & safe systems of work.
  • Completes all delivery administration to a high quality & in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed customer service levels for delivery of product.
  • Complete housekeeping and stock rotation in depot.
  • Develop good customer relationships in outlet.
  • Respond professionally to customer complaints, resolving where able to do so or escalating for further investigation where required.
  • Identifies potential sales opportunities and customer solutions when visiting customer premises.
  • Management of allocated vehicle through adhering to regular maintenance and cleanliness requirements and completing daily vehicle checks to ensure safety before use.
  • Ensures compliance with all mandatory training requirements & actively manage own development & learning opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience leading and organising a customer facing team to maximise productivity & achieve agreed customer service levels or team objectives
  • Multi Drop Delivery Driver experience, ideally within leisure or hospitality
  • Customer complaint management to minimise business & customer satisfaction impact
  • Implementing & working in accordance with safe systems of work and standard operating procedures
  • Experience stock forecasting & management
  • Experience developing others through effective coaching and feedback
