Are you an experienced Claims Handler interested in exploring you options?

M-F, full-time, permanent role


Central Dundee based but the business offer a hybrid working option, where you'll be in the office 2 days and working remotely 3 days - unless you prefer to work full time in the office.

What you'll be involved with on a day to day basis:

  • Establish if cover is in place for the claim
  • Record all claims on the digital claims handling system
  • Investigate all claims either from the desk or by instructing loss adjusters
  • Make the decision on the liability and negotiate settlement of the claim
  • Build relationships with external clients and stakeholders
  • Provide referral support to less experienced colleagues

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of policy wording and terms and conditions
  • Experience within insurance and the insurance market
  • A knowledge of how to price a claim
  • Knowledge of reserving philosophies desirable
  • Excellent communications skills at all levels
  • Excellent customer service
  • Able to work comfortably as part of a team
  • Able to take responsibility for their own work
  • Must be adaptable and flexible in terms of work
  • A good standard of planning and organisational skills
  • A good standard of IT skills
