Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at our specialist neurobehavioural rehabilitation centre for people with an acquired brain injury.
In this role, you will provide expert physiotherapy services to serviceusers with acquired brain injury, working within the Trust's neurobehavioural model.
You will be a key member of our multidisciplinary team and will work across the three Trust pathways:Neurobehavioural, Neurorestorative, and Wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, analysis, and treatment plans
- Deliver effective treatment plans, adapting them according to service user response and team discussions
- Provide specialist professional advice and support
- Work as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing physiotherapy input within the Trust's neurobehavioral/neuropsychological model
- Provide specialist physiotherapeutic interventions across the three Trust pathways
- Manage a designated workload, prioritize tasks, and delegate workload effectively
- Monitor and report on the political and economic climate impacting service delivery
- Participate in regular and effective communication with the wider clinical team
- Role model the inclusion of evidencebased practice and participate in research and audit projects
- Maintain and supervise accurate clinical documentation and attend trustwide physiotherapy meetings
Requirements:
- Autonomous professional with experience working in a specialist clinical area
- Strong understanding of neurobehavioural and neurorestorative models
- Ability to engage in complex clinical problemsolving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time and caseload effectively in a potentially pressurized environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of local services and experience with referrals
- Knowledge and skills required for safe moving and handling of service users
- Ability to teach and educate support workers in ongoing rehabilitation care plans
