Are you a qualified primary school teacher? Do you have experience working within key stage one?

Empowering Learning are working with a school based in the Mickleover area in Derby (DE3) who are looking to appoint a teacher to work within their year two class.

The role is due to start from March 2023. The role is full time and permanent.

The school are looking for someone who:

Holds qualified teacher status
Has at least one years' experience working in a school
Possesses a good understanding of the year 2 curriculum
Can raise attainment levels in children who may be working below age expected levels
Can delegate a classroom TA to work with targeted children
Can inspire children from a range of abilities to reach their maximum potential
Can effectively manage the behaviour of children within the class
Will be able to use the school rewards system to help inspire children

The main duties within the role will be:

Planning and delivering engaging sessions to children in year
Leading children towards end of year assessments
Following the school's behaviour and rewards plan to help maximise engagement in lessons
Assessing children's work using the school's marking policy
Using outdoor space to encourage learning through play
