Teaching Assistant Level 2

27 hours a week working with children across the school

Required from January 2023. Experience preferred. This is a level 2 post, scale point 5.


At Brampton Village Primary School we pride ourselves on the level of pastoral support that we provide for our children and their families by creating effective and supportive relationships as well as emotional, social and wellbeing support.

We are looking for someone to join our friendly team in providing this additional support to our children across the school.


This role includes:

  • To provide emotional and academic support for children in school to ensure that they are able to be ready to learn and reach their full potential.
  • Work alongside, teachers, other teaching assistants, SLT and the school SENCo to ensure the pastoral needs of children are supported.

We are looking for:

  • Someone with experience of working with children and who understands their emotional needs.
  • Ability to work within a team or use their own initiative.
  • An excellent communicator who can adapt their communication methods to engage vulnerable children in a productive way.
  • Shows commitment to the care and progression of children with additional needs.
  • Has the ability to form effective relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

  • Willing to complete health and wellbeing questionnaire.
