Overview:


Working closely with the wider Commercial Team and the Young Learner Operations Team, the post holder assumes overall responsibility for the commercial targets associated to Sports Education programmes (most notably the key strategic partnership with Manchester City Football Group).

The postholder will increase the profile surrounding these programmes by developing meaningful partnerships with agents, schools and clubs.

The post holder will work closely with the Operations, Commercial and Finance teams to:

  • Input to the product development in key regions
  • Advise all stakeholders on commercial updates
  • Be the primary liaison with key Sports Education partners
  • Working alongside the Director of Global Operations, ensure all supplier contracts and SLAs are in place ahead of programme delivery
  • Support the Group FD in the:
  • Preparation of annual sales targets
  • Required travel and event spend

Main Responsibilities:


  • Assume the role of the Sports Education sales specialist, maintaining an expert and up to date knowledge of both the sector, monitoring trends & competitor activity and reporting on market intelligence
  • To provide market feedback and evaluate new business opportunities with Global Director of Sales, Director of Global Operations and Director of Strategy to increase revenue and profit to achieve the Company's ambitious growth forecast
  • Responsibility for diversifying the product range and introducing new sports related revenue streams across the BSC Group
  • Responsibility for identifying and opening new markets for BSC products
  • Contribute to regional and country sales plans to achieve annual sales targets and agreed KPIs
  • Support the Director of Business Development (Young Learners) to manage and develop existing and new key accounts, driving repeat sales through B2B networks
  • Support the Director of Business Development (Young Learners) to ensure that all agent records are active and up to date
  • Provide support to all teams across BSC as required, liaising closely with other departments regarding new business proposals to ensure deliverability and profitability
  • Help identify in country opportunities as they arise
  • Supporting the Director of Business Development (Young Learners) and Regional Managers attending international events, conferences, exhibitions and workshops as required
  • Run or support on relevant webinars across all regions
  • Work closely with the marketing department to provide market intelligence and collaborate on marketing campaigns and collateral

Specific Role Requirements

  • Sports education development background
  • Experience in developing new business within the International Sports Education industry
  • Experience of working at a senior level within an organisation operating in the service sector (e.g., education, travel, sports sector etc.)
  • Safeguarding Level 3

Desired Experience/Skills:


  • Previous experience on Young Learner Sports Education programmes would be advantageous.
  • English essential, other language(s) desired.
