Berry Recruitment has registered a superb permanent opportunity to join our client based in the Abingdon area and train in the Building Services Sector.

We are looking for organised administrator, with a good knowledge of Maths and the ability to think logically.


You will be trained to take engineers works description and turn them in to proper quotes - for labour and materials.

Looking at the cost of materials, labour and time required and factoring in a Profit.


If you have an interest in engineering or construction this is a great open door to a lucrative career and full training will be given.


The Role:


  • To produce quotes & proposals generated from Maintenance or Reactive visits.
  • Work using company agreed pricing methodologies to ensure commercial consistency.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring all Maintenance/Reactive proposals are produced and provided to the customer in accordance with agreed KPIs or 5 working days whichever is the shorter. Note that any life safety critical repair should be expedited and advised to the client immediately
  • Escalating potential sales leads which are identified as lifecycle replacement (IE system upgrades) to the Regional Sales Manager/Client Account Manager

Accountable for:


  • Providing clear, concise and accurate proposals.
  • Providing accurate information to clients and internal members of staff.
  • Working towards and exceeding any target set by the Remedial and Minor Works Manager
  • Providing First Class Service to the business customer base.
  • Providing technical support where needed to the Regional Service Support Teams (as required upon escalation)
  • Understanding/Achievement of a high level of Customer Service.
  • Work under pressure to meet and achieve deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • IT skills, MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Focal Point, Alarm Master
  • Ability to work alone, as well as with others and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload across a team and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to resolve technical problems and propose technical engineered solutions.
  • Ownership of business requirements.
  • Ability to deal with change.
  • Understanding when to seek help and assistance.

Technical Knowledge:


  • A technical background to the core business service offerings are essential, including all in house and sub contracted elements.
