Presales Consultant - About the role:

Are you a Pre-sales consultant with a background in scoping and creation of technical presales solutions, able to work with a range of clients and engage in technical and business discussions? Can you lead on the development and delivery of technical productdemonstrations, tender completion, interact with new and existing customers, around Network, Security, and associated SD Nets technologies.

Presales Consultant - About the company:

My client who supplies Communications & Collaboration technologies to numerous clients across the UK have a new role for a Pre-sales Consultant working with SD WAN, Associated Networks and NetSec technologies.

The Pre-sales Consultant will be responsiblefor the creation and review of Statement of Services documents, and working closely with Sales Team, PMs, Managed Services, and other technical staff.


The Pre-sales Consultant will work closely with other departments within the business, to ensure that the strategy for the product suite matches company and client objectives.


Presales Consultant - Key Duties:


  • Scoping and creation of technical presales solutions and documentation.
  • Work closely with Sales team at preprocurement meetings with prospective customers.
  • Liaise with external customers and user groups to establish functionality needed to enhance the product offering.
  • Get involved with completion of tender documents.
  • Work with a broad range of clients at different organisational levels
  • Keep abreast and review competitor products to ensure that your product has a competitive edge.
  • Be able to converse technically with clients around the principles of Connect, Enable and Secure.
  • Research and review the market to examine trends, government legislation and external factors which may affect the product offering.

Pre-sales Consultant - Skills required for the role:

  • Preference for a background working within the Consultancy, Tech Post Sales, Tech Pre Sales, or Solutions Architecture.
  • Good understanding of Network, Security and Associated Software Defined technologies
  • Zero Trust, IdAM, SASE etc.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within the UK with some overnight stays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client facing skills.
  • Ability to work remotely from home and as part of a team with initiative and drive to succeed.
  • Strong customer service ethos, and business acumen
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the Sales & Marketing, Development and Support teams alongside Senior Management.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, prioritising effectively and meet demanding deadlines.


The role will give you some autonomy to implement your own ideas into the Pre-sales role, use your flair for presentations and really help the company make their mark in this sector.

You will be supported by Senior Management in helping unite your ideaswith the aims of the business, and have regular meetings, support, and training to ensure you are able to flourish in the role.

You will work with some innovative people keen to help you succeed.


Pre-sales Consultant - Benefits
The role offers a basic salary up to £90k.

Expenses as can be home based with some travel customer site within UK when required.
