Rate:
£115 - £230 per day, depending on experience


Principal Resourcing are actively working to recruit
Instructors to provide cover on a
day-to-day and
long-term basis, within our partnership Secondary academies and alternative provisions in
North Yorkshire.


There is currently high demand for additional tuition support, working with children at
KS3/KS4 level, who require intervention through a bespoke curriculum that meets their individual needs and improves attainment levels upto current GCSE standards.


We are looking for Tutors, Instructors and Teaching Staff who can display passion and enthusiasm for teaching and are able to deliver awe inspiring and engaging learning opportunities for all children.

If you feel passionately about transforming the lives of young people and are a flexible and creative thinker to maximise pupil engagement, we want to hear from you You must be comfortable working with small groups or on an individual basis with children and have strong behaviour management skills.

You can expect to be paid
up to £230 per day depending upon your experience and the role requirements.


Within the role you will be required to:

  • Provide calming and nurturing support for students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Instil good behaviour management strategy in line with academy policy
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that will engage and enthuse learners
  • Be creative and efficient in your teaching approach
  • Have a commitment to develop the personalities, talents and abilities of all students
  • Display an enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
  • Show an interest in the children that you are working with, to build mutually respectful relationships
  • Work effectively as part of the staff team to ensure a consistent approach

Skills and attributes:


  • Relevant qualifications
  • QTS Teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT etc) or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children in KS1/KS2 would be advantageous
  • A proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement
  • Must hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
