Description
One of the UK's largest specialist mechanical, electrical and public health (MEPH) contractor has been delivering outstanding mechanical and electrical services across the built environment for over 50 years.
As part of an expansion they are looking for a H & S Advisor to provide support to their projects in their Facilities Management TeamsBased in an office in Canary Wharf and on sites across London your duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Complete a series of workplace audits and inspections in accordance with a defined plan, and produce timely reports
- Advise, guide and coach all personnel on the contract regarding the implementation of the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
- Advising the operational team on the effective management of subcontractors
- Communicate effectively (accurate, relevant and timely) with line manager, particularly with the escalation of accidents and incidents
- Support the operational team in accident / incident investigations in accordance with company procedure.
- Consult and participate in HSW committee meetings and other forums to develop an injury free environment (IFE)
- Carry out prequalification questionnaires (PQQ) and tender enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, such as trade contractors, suppliers, clients to enhance HSW performance
- Previous experience working as a H&S Advisor in facilities management/ building services/ construction arena
- Hold a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate, ideally a NEBOSH Diploma
- IOSH Membership
- GradIOSH or CMIOSH
- Auditing qualification desirable although not essential
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly approachable personality
- Reside within a 1hrs commute of E14
