Public Access Officer
Location:
Hybrid / Winchester when needed for meetings
Pay Rate:
£15.64 per hour
Role Overview:
As a Public Access Officer, your main responsibility is to support the Public Access function, ensuring appropriate responses to information and advice requests and fulfilling the Chief Constable's statutory obligations effectively and lawfully.
Key Result Areas:
- Resources: Provide departmental resilience by supervising IM staff activities, ensuring health and safety, welfare, PDR, and resource management across both forces.
- Strategy: Identify business risks in Information Management and propose mitigation recommendations to management.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to improve adherence to Information Management standards in both forces.
- Customer Service: Provide an effective service to internal and external customers on all Public Access activities, resolving problems, providing recommendations, and mitigating risks.
- Information Systems: Research, analyze, and utilize information systems to support information management areas.
- Data Protection and Freedom of Information: Support the daytoday running of the IM Helpdesk, providing specialist advice and guidance on complex issues related to Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and the release or protection of police information.
