Behaviour Mentor - SEMH School

Do you enjoy breaking down social and academic barriers for young people? Do you have a keen understanding of behaviour management techniques? This bustling SEMH school is looking to add a Behaviour Mentor to the team to provide 1-2-1 support for young peoplewho have struggled to engage with education.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will be providing 1-2-1 support in the classroom for children aged and delivering intervention sessions, helping children to identify the "Why" behind their behaviours.

You will be joining an experienced team of Behaviour Mentorswho are dedicated to breaking down social and academic barriers for young people.

This role requires previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours, ideally within a school setting.


Job Role:

  • Supporting challenging behaviours on a 121 basis
  • Working as a Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant
  • Acting as a positive role model for students
  • Delivering 121 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours
  • Helping students to reengage with education
