Description

The post holder will provide co-ordinated administrative and secretarial advice primarily to the Operational Manager for Unscheduled Care and be part of the medical staffing team.


The post holder will be expected to exercise flexibility and initiative to carry out a range of administrative activities for a busy and diverse team of managers; this will include electronic scheduling of meetings, formatting and distribution of communications, collating information into databases, preparing presentations, organising hard copy and electronic filing systems, supporting site level meetings and committees.

The post holder will need to demonstrate a calm and organised approach to completing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

The post holder will be required to communicate effectively and sensitively with internal colleagues, external organisations and, on occasions, patients, relatives or carers.


To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Operational Manager for Unscheduled Care as needed, using own initiative, prioritising and planning workload.


To be responsible for the management and issues related to medical staffing for General Medicine at Nevill Hall Hospital (NHH).

This will include being the first point of contact for all medical staff working at NHH and ensuring there is always safe and adequate cover.

Supporting approximately 40 doctors providing advice, support, information and on-call rotas.
