We are looking for a Communications Officer to join our Communication Team on the Trafford account known as the One Trafford Partnership (OTP).

At Trafford we work together with Trafford Council to empty bins, maintain the highway and look after parks and green spaces.

This role would suit a communications professional keen to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from residents to Councillors.

This is a hybrid working role (UK only), and you would need to come into the office at least 2 to 3 times per week.

  • Engaging with our audience on social media, including responding to messages/comments as appropriate
  • Meeting Councillors out on site for photo opportunities
  • Writing news releases and liaising with the press
  • Source content for and develop the quarterly community newsletter

What are we looking for?

  • A strong understanding of the role of digital and social media
  • Experience of maintaining social media platforms, particularly X (formerly) Twitter, with a familiarity of best practices for posting and responding to comments and messages
  • Strong writing skills with experience of writing engaging content for press, newsletters and website
  • A keen eye to source new stories to maximise our community engagement
  • Ability to draft and edit content, including supporting colleagues in creating content for their LinkedIn profiles
