Main Purpose:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Confirmed ability to act as a bridge between multiple business department teams located in different offices and identifying common migration solution for each business process
  • Must have indepth knowledge of various physical and financial products of commodities trading business.
  • Expected to have good experience in functional lead role specifically in delivering end to end business solutions (preferably for a commodity trading business)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in some or several of the following areas:
  • Oil, Gas and Metals Trading physical and financial products, front to back lifecycle
  • Operations, position & risk management for physical commodity trading
  • Trade confirmation management, including term sheet and confirmation/contract production
  • Trade capture for physical commodity & derivative transactions
  • Methods of trading and credit risk mitigation (Documentary Letters of Credit etc.)
  • Physical commodity trading terms & lifecycle
  • Payable, Receivable, Cash Settlement and Accounting & General Ledger management
  • Strong organizational change skills, ability to handle several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to adhere to timelines.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive business process changes challenging current business practices, working with key business process personnel and defining new business processes
  • Knowledge of a variety of software development methodologies (e.g. continuous integration, iterative development) and software product implementation, upgrade, maintenance and support.
  • Exhibit high level of skills in data aggregation and analysis
  • Experience on MS Office suite, Confluence and JIRA
Key Responsibilities

  • Main responsibility is to understand business process flows, conduct Asis &Tobe analysis, clearly identifying and articulating gaps between source and target system business processes, and delivering migration approach documents for physical commodity trading business
  • Define the data migration scope and build the migration strategy for phased manual business migration
  • Define and detail the migration approach for various sophisticated trading business scenarios
  • Identify the scope of data reconciliation and crafting BRDs, FSDs, & JIRA stories
  • Lead endtoend creation of migration project artefacts
  • Support development teams to ensure a solution meets its business requirements
  • Work independently with Trafigura business & IT partners and define the testing approach for business dryruns and parallel runs, and support business teams in validating the migration strategy
  • Identify interdependencies with other projects & programs and tackle issues proactively
  • Define and agree step by step manual migration process with all business departments and build business migration runbook
  • Report all risks and issues and document mitigation plan
  • Implement Command & Control during migration and provide status updates to CIO, COO, Global Business Transformation head and other key partners
