Job title: Glenarm 2023: Anna Gregg, Young Opera Voice Winner
Description
Young Opera Voice Festival
The Glenarm Festival of Voice is an annual event that showcases the talents of young opera singers from across Ireland.
This year's festival was a highlight, with five talented individuals competing for the Deborah Voigt Opera Prize and to become the NI Opera Young Opera Voice of 2023.
These aspiring singers spent three days working with top opera coaches, refining their skills and preparing to perform in front of a live audience and judging panel in a concert hosted by Dr Sean Rafferty MBE.
The winner of the competition was soprano Anna Gregg, who took home both the Deborah Voigt Opera Prize and became NI Opera's Young Operatic Voice. The Kathryn Harries Audience Prize went to mezzo-soprano Anna-Helena Maclachlan, while tenor Cathal McCabe won the Song Prize sponsored by The Priests Charitable Trust.
