Maths Teaching Assistant

hours per week (negotiable)

£22,837.50 FTE

The role will include:


  • Work with individuals and groups of students, assist in ensuring students are engaged and focussed.
  • Help implement lesson plans, learning aims, and content with the teacher.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to students without reference to the teacher.
  • Take small group of students for defined Maths activities.
  • Provide admin support of both the Multiply programme and the Functional skills classes, including logging activities on the CRM software (training provided).
  • Support and work with the teacher in testing/assessment.
  • Provide individual student and group mentoring as required.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a minimum of a B/6 GCSE Maths
  • Have an excellent understanding of statutory requirements, e.g safeguarding.
  • Be able to build positive and professional relationships.
