As Project Coordinator, you will be part of the Environment and Water Resources (EWRE) Section in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, responsible for project management and administrative support of the National Environmental Research Council (NERC) funded project Community Water Management for a Liveable London (CAMELLIA).


You will need to be able to adapt quickly and professionally to the needs of the day, and to cope well and harmoniously with conflicting demands.

In delivering this role efficiently and effectively, you will be expected to exercise judgement and to use initiative in being proactive.

This will require a proven ability to organise, influence and cater well for a wide variety of work, some of which might be confidential in nature.

You will need to have the personal confidence to interact appropriately with a wide range of people, both internal and external and across all levels in ways which support a very positive impression of the research group in communications with project partners.


Duties and responsibilities:


This varied and challenging role will specifically include management of the project team at Imperial and their interaction with the project collaborators and project partners; including planning and organisation of travel, meetings, and training activities; internal and external reporting; maintaining external communication and visibility (e.g., website and social media); developing narratives on and evaluations of the impact of the CAMELLIA work programme.


Essential requirements:


  • Good general education, preferably at MSc level (or equivalent) or higher, and evidence of continuing professional development or further learning
  • Experience of providing administrative support to research projects
  • Excellent organisational skills with outstanding ability to prioritise and schedule workloads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide range of people
  • Excellent attention to detail

This is a full time, fixed term position until 30 September 2024. You will be based at South Kensington Campus.

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023.

Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite.
