In the role of Support Planner - Component Maintenance and Warranty you will mainly be responsible for contributing to efficiencies that deliver quantifiable cost savings to the department, co-ordinate activity ensuring the timely, and cost-effective return of repaired components from VAA approved vendors and design, build and publish statistical information.
Actively contribute to efficiencies that deliver quantifiable cost savings to the department.
- Monitor and approve repair and invoice costs
- Administer and report against warranty entitlements
- Minimising the risk of nonsupply of agreed service levels.
- Ensure vendors comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Maximising our inventory levels and mitigating DD's and operational delays.
- Against vendor performance and spend.
- Against departmental performance.
We're seeking a support planner, ideally with an aviation background, knowledgeable in a number of areas relating to component maintenance and warranties.
- An understanding of the approved sources of Repair & Overhaul Services that are procured by the department and assists in maintaining professional, profitability focused relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Knowledge of the Engineering Computer System and other relevant IT systems used within Supply Chain and can manipulate databases and software systems used in the department to produce high level KPI's.
- The ability to to gain an understanding of the departments' regulations, LOI's/EDP's and to demonstrate consistent adherence to the core LOI's and EDP's relevant to their role.
- A knowledge of technical manuals and documentation relevant to the role.
- Attained or working towards stage 3 Materials Management / Procurement NVQ or equivalent.
- An understanding of the importance of compliance and takes action to safeguard compliance during their own performance.
- Effective communication and independent decision making within the preassigned financial limits of the role.
