Our client is a small, but growing, niche Building Surveying practice based in South Wiltshire (Tisbury near Salisbury) that works across the UK and sometimes beyond.

As a result of continued growth they have a vacancy for an Assistant Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician to add their professional skills to the team and who wants to grow their experience in this area of work.


The company provides professional building surveying and heritage consultancy services tailored to the needs of diverse historic and listed buildings and landscapes for an impressive and eclectic selection of clients that can be both challenging and professionally rewarding to work with.


The successful applicant will be a creative, confident, focused and motivated individual with good presentation and technical skills and a sound working knowledge of building construction as well as planning legislation and Building Regulations.

The role will include

  • Measured building surveys
  • Scheme design and development
  • Detail drawings
  • Working closely with other members of the team
  • Liaison with clients
  • Historical analysis drawings
  • Design and intervention for new work in an historic environment
The Person

  • Experience as a graduate surveyor / architectural technologist in a practice.
  • Assoc RICS / CIAT desirable
  • Have a strong desire to produce good quality detailed designs, construction drawing and the technical aspects of specification development.
  • Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD and Adobe software would be desirable.
  • A full understanding of the UK Building Regulations.
  • Experience working with traditional build projects and historical structure would be desirable


This role is based in the office Monday - Friday but there may be some flexibility around hybrid working after the initial - 6 months training period.
