**SummaryThree new Faculty Operating Officer posts have been created to support St Mary's Faculties, which have been established as a result of a Senior Academic Management Restructure that comes into effect in 2023/24.
We are seeking to appoint three experienced higher education managers to support the Faculty Deans to deliver Faculty strategic objectives and contribute to realising the University's Vision 2030.
**Job DetailsThe Faculty Operating Officer supports the Faculty Dean by ensuring that all Faculty-based support services are aligned to delivery of strategic objectives, that they provide services that meet the needs of students, academics and external stakeholders, and that they are committed to service excellence and process efficiency.
Faculty Operating Officers are responsible for operationalising Faculty strategic objectives across the University's principal areas of growth and innovation:student experience, partnerships, research and international.
As full members of the Faculty's leadership team, Faculty Operating Officers provide leadership and management through effective business planning, financial, workforce and performance management.
As head of their Faculty's Administration team, Faculty Operating Officers play a key role in providing leadership to the team, demanding a high performance culture while ensuring good internal communications are in place within the team, and effective support and development are in place for team members.
Faculty Operating Officers work together as a team across Faculty boundaries to ensure consistent, high quality working practices across the whole of Faculty Administration.
Moreover, they are responsible for developing and maintaining effective liaison between academic staff and central services, balancing representation of Faculty interests with the shared corporate responsibility of all senior professional services staff for ensuring that University systems, procedures and processes are consistently adopted and applied.
