Requirements to becoming a cover supervisor
There are none.

Aside from being over the age of 18 and possessing the right to work in the UK, there are no necessary qualifications and it's perfect for anyone, whether you study, work part-time or even have a few spare hours each week.

Everyone has beenthrough an education system at some stage of their lives and so we can all relate to having a 'cover lesson' when our regular teacher was absent.

Whoever was sat at the front of the classroom that day was exactly like you, a regular person who has a busy lifeand friends/family to care for.

Certain schools may have requirements depending on the students they cater for but, for the most part, a cover supervisor needs to be confident in front of a large group and able to adapt quickly to challenges that may arise.


We deal with the majority of Secondary schools throughout Essex, London, Suffolk and Hertfordshire and are looking for Cover Supervisors who are available to start work as soon as possible.

You will be working as a supply teacher on a daily basis at your local Secondary schools a rate of pay from £80 - £110 per day, and this will be based on qualifications and experience


Having experience working in a school environment and up to date knowledge of the safeguarding guidelines would be an advantage however is not required.

We offer resources that will help you take the next step in your career as a cover teacher.


To be a successful supply teacher you must be proactive, be able to follow the lesson plans provided and have excellent communication skills.
