To work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the safe planning and delivery of Formula One Operations at Formula One World Championship (FOWC) Events and other non-race eventsMain
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to support the safe delivery of Formula One activities at Formula One World Championship Events and nontrack events.
- Assist in the development of new systems improve efficiency and streamline processes in the safety team.
- Support the Formula 1 Broadcast and Logistics departments on the build, event and derig phases of a Formula 1 event.
- Act as the key point of contact for Formula 1 staff and contractors for H&S issues and raise specific concerns to management.
- Work with the FIA, F1 teams and other key stakeholders on race related H&S issues where necessary.
- Support Race Promoters and Circuits on the development of health and safety plans and the delivery of the Formula 1 Safety and Security Framework.
- Manage the H&S race reporting and issue management systems for race and events.
- Support Departments to develop risk assessments and method statements, to ensure all work is undertaken in a safe manner.
- Participate or lead meetings, when required, to report on relevant H&S matters.
- Ensure that all accidents and incidents are documented correctly, investigated promptly and reported accurately in line with the relevant procedure.
- Provide constructive and pragmatic advice to Formula 1 departments.
- Complete relevant H&S checks and inspections related to the delivery of the race or event.
- Carry out circuit inductions to staff and contractors.
- Manage first aid situations and refer for suitable medical treatment, where required.
- Work closely with the H&S Manager on new H&S projects and development of the safety function across F1 events.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience within H&S
- Experience operating in fastpaced and time crucial environments.
- Practical and hands on approach to H&S.
- Ability to think responsively, anticipate/solve problems dynamically.
- Able to keep accurate records, analyse safety performance related data, and produce concise and accurate reports with reasonable recommendations where required.
- Able to maintain professional confidentiality relating to personal or sensitive information.
- Possess the confidence to present or brief large groups of people.
- Keen to develop their personal development.
