Fleet Planner
Chiltern Railways is part of the Arriva group, one of the leading providers of passenger transport in Europe. Chiltern Railways operates commuter/regional rail passenger services from its Central London terminus at London Marylebone along the M40 corridor to destinations in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, as well as long-distance services to the West Midlands along two routes
Chiltern are looking for a Fleet Planner to Work with the Production team to deliver plans effectively and efficiently while ensuring specifications, material and labour are available from the relevant teams within the department.
Ensure the correct return of trains to each depot and outstation as per Maintenance plan and Train cleaning plan requirements.
Ensure relevant procedures and standards are complied with to ensure safe train operation and a safe working environment in all activities and locations.
Lead the overnight fleet light servicing activities at outstations.
Lead the overnight fleet key correctives defects.
Lead plan in reducing fleet wide defects.
Exam planning
Run conference calls identifying plans for maintenance and cleaning to all parties.
Interrogate data and compile reports highlighting failures in delivery.
Deliver all activities in accordance with business targets.
Work closely with Train Planning, Fleet Controller, Duty Control Manager and Duty Fleet Manager to ensure optimum fleet utilisation and maximising of maintenance opportunities.
Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with the requirements of the CRCL Safety Certificate and Safety Management System.
Assisting with medium and long-term routine exams - inclusive of exam forecasting - and communicating this to relevant parties including Fleet Control, the Production team, Materials team.
Liaison with ROSCOs and other vehicle owners as necessary, including input to lease/contract review process.
Movements of vehicles to locations for HM.

Proven people management skills
Able to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form
Lead meetings and group discussions to solve problems and make decisions
