Our Accommodation site in Cambridge has 80 rooms, providing a home for 16-25-year-olds.

We have a fantastic team of accommodation workers, providing ongoing support and encouragement to the young people living at Queen Anne House, which is located in the centre of Cambridge by Parkers Piece, easy to get to via public transport, or if you travel by car we have free onsite car parking too.


Job Role To support clients with their resettlement options, interview/assesses prospective residents and when necessary deal with resident discipline, warnings and terminations as required.


You will ensure all residents records are accurately maintained and kept up to date & residents are claiming full benefit entitlement, in addition to ensuring regular key work meetings take place.

Key duties include;

  • Lead on the resettlement of residents to second stage supported accommodation, private rent and social housing.
  • Create links with social housing providers and private landlords to increase the move on options for residents.
  • To provide support, advice and guidance through the creation of bespoke resettlement plans for residents ready for independent living.
  • Provide short term floating support for resident's post move on to ensure a smooth transition to independent living, ensuring sustainability of move and preventing a return to the cycle of homelessness.

Skills and Experience In summary, the successful applicant will have the following qualities:

  • Ability to work calmly and methodically in a demanding and at times challenging environment
  • Ability to write reports, case notes, clients records and to make and maintain excellent liaison with external agencies
  • Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • A good level of Education
  • Experience of working with people from various back grounds, cultures etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening and team work skills
  • Excellent listening skills and able to show empathy
  • Motivated and able to balance and prioritise workloads
  • To work effectively on own initiative and also as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work within the values of the YMCA Trinity Group

Days and Hours 40 Hours Per Week. This is a combination of Early Shifts (8am-4:30pm), Day Shifts (9am-5:30pm) and Mid Shifts Shifts (11am - 7:30pm).

Role requires working alternate Saturday's and includes some on call duties, offered on a 12 month Fixed term contract


Salary and Benefits Annual salary £23,587 (£11.34 per hour)
