Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

  • Applicants will require a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 points._

Founded in 2012, PFM Group is a growing and ambitious Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance company.

We undertake work for a number of well-known and established property management companies and currently have a portfolio of around 200 sites nationwide.

The PFM Group is currently looking to employ a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to work on a site in Swindon.

About the Role:


  • As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you will be undertaking all aspects of grounds maintenance and landscaping duties on one of our sites in Swindon.
  • The job is a fulltime role. You will work five days a week, Monday to Friday.
  • You will be responsible for managing your daily workload, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, on schedule and to the highest standards.
  • You will be required to supervise other members of staff.
  • You will be using pedestrian and rideon mowers, hedge trimmers, brushcutters, leaf blowers and backpack sprayers. Experience in the use of these tools is essential.
  • You will be required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • All equipment and PPE will be provided.

Essential Attributes:


  • Previous experience in a grounds maintenance or landscaping role.
  • Good knowledge of plants, tools and grounds maintenance and landscaping operations.
  • Comfortable with using handheld devices for reporting purposes.
  • Someone that is hard working, reliable, trustworthy and has the ability to work independently if needed.
  • Someone that possesses good people skills.
  • Good time management.
  • A keen eye for detail and someone that takes pride in their work.

Essential Qualifications

  • Safe use of pesticides
  • PA1 & PA6

Desired Qualifications

  • Certificates of competence for equipment such as mowers, hedge trimmers and brushcutters


  • Chainsaw

  • CS 30 & CS 31
