Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance management cases & infection prevention in the delivery of OHWS. Help prevent work-related ill health and recommend appropriate adjustments in the workplace to employees and managers. To advise regarding Government legislation, local and national policies, and procedures in accordance with the delivery of OHWS.

To effectively manage and assess workload related to triage of management referrals and advice line, Sharps Hot Line, and attendance management clinic sessions, maintaining confidentiality and professional accountability according to professional standards of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, HCPC, AHP and CSP governing bodies standards of practice.


Take responsibility for the line management of junior staff ensuring effective appraisal development and day to day performance management is undertaken and an effective OHWS is provided.

Support and mentor junior staff. With training organise operational activities of MDT in the absence of the Operational Manager.

Understand and adhere to client requirements and service provision within the agreed service level agreement and identified key performance indicators.

To deliver public health programs in accordance with National Campaigns local initiatives and departmental policies and procedures. Promote optimal health in the workplace and healthy lifestyle choices.


Communication:

To interpret and communicate key facts relating to the statutory and advisory guidance governing the ethical and legal aspects that ensures the health, safety and wellbeing of employers and employees.

Generate and disseminate effective management reports and other forms of verbal, written and visual communication in accordance with professional bodies, ethics, and professional confidentiality.


To establish good personal and professional relationships with all departments within areas of responsibility and maintain effective and timely communication.

Research and Audit Participate in ensuring the quality of client care is constantly improved and best practice knowledge is shared with all members of the team through contributing to clinical projects, audits, and quality monitoring programmes.
