Night Shift Bindery/Finishing Operator

Due to a retirement, William Pollard & Company Limited is seeking a multi-skilled, hardworking, and efficient bindery/finishing operator, with a proven track record of ensuring the smooth functioning and continuous processing of all finishing activities.

This is a permanent night shift position.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Stahl KH78/82 and Ti52 folder operator or comparable folders.
Polar or Wohlenberg programmatic guillotine operator.
Heidelberg Cylinder diecutting and creasing operator.
Autobond laminator operator or comparable laminators.
Heidelberg ST300 Stitchmaster or comparable stitching line could be an advantage.
Holding a counterbalance FLT certificate could be an advantage.
Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects.
Ability to follow processes and procedure accurately.
Strong problemsolving skills.
Meeting tight deadlines.

PERSONAL:

Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic.
Attention to detail.
Willingness to work overtime (with notice).
Willingness to work in other areas of the business, including bench operations when required.
Willingness to learn other finishing processes and machinery, in line with the needs of the business.

Folding on numerous equipment.
Guillotine cutting.
Die-cutting and creasing.
Laminating
Numeracy and literacy.

POSITION

Hours: 36 hours per week (organised as 4 x 9-hour night shifts, Monday-Thursday, 9pm-6am).

Duration:
Permanent.

Location:
Exeter EX2 7NU. On-site free parking and five minutes from M5, Junction 30. Five minutes' walk from both Digby & Sowton Railway Station and nearest bus stop. Adjacent to Exeter cycle network.
