What you'll be doing


The Junior Enterprise Systems Analyst (HR) is responsible for providing functional expertise in our Enterprise HR Systems, our Learning Systems and any other Enterprise HR Systems.

Training will be provided in all our systems.

The team has a strong cross collaboration with departments across Unite Students so you will gain exposure to other areas within the business.


  • Provide 1st and 2nd level enduser support for our HR systems and the business processes they support, working to resolve the issues alongside our key users and Third party support partners.
  • Working with our Managed Service providers where appropriate, to facilitate the delivery of BAU system changes and enhancements to improve business processes and provide the right tools for the job for our key users. This includes writing and analysis offunctional requirements for our Third Party support partners.
  • Ensuring a full understanding of any new capabilities and that these are shared with the relevant impacted areas, so they can assess suitability for to support the business processes they underpin
  • Coordinating HR SaaS releases, including ensuring UAT has been completed and scheduling and supporting where necessary, the implementation
  • Provide support to the UAT process for system changes and new capabilities, coordinating and analysing testing scenarios, executing tests where necessary and supporting our key users through the process.
  • Ensure SMEs (and wider business, where required) are duly informed of scheduled patches and minor releases in line with the People XD roadmap.
  • Ensure all support calls and communication are logged within our ManageEngine Service Desk tool, respond to support calls within agreed SLA targets in a professional and courteous manner, and escalate calls internally or externally.
  • Coordinate HR SaaS releases, ensuring the SMEs have confirmed completion of testing.
  • Report any testing failures to Third Party support partners
  • Develop excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues through strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Develop excellent working relationship with our Third Party support partners to ensure we are getting the best value from our suppliers

What we're looking for in you

  • Knowledge and experience of providing support and analysis for HR systems.
  • Experience of working with a call logging system/ITSM
  • A selfstarter who can demonstrate initiative, with the ability to prioritise workloads of self and support other team members
  • Works to improve knowledge and skills to increase 1st line resolution, a willingness to learn about the wider business. A general curiosity and personal drive to be better.
  • A great team player who enjoys working with and learning from others.
  • An ability to communicate at all levels and develop good working relationships
  • Experience of working with Third Party support partners, particularly in a SaaS model
  • Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing processes

Desirable but not essential experience:


  • Good understanding of SQL
  • Good understanding of Agile project methodologies
  • Previous experience of working as a functional analyst to ensure that key business systems are aligned with, and support provided for, key business processes
