Graduate Oilfield Microbiologist
We at Simpson Booth Ltd are looking for a
Graduate Oilfield Microbiologist to join the Inspection and Integrity Management Division within our client based in Aberdeen.
The
Oilfield Microbiologist will work within the Inspection team, to assist with delivery of all services to existing and potential customers.
The main tasks include:
- Technical assistance to the Business Manager and the Onshore Operations Team in all corrosion monitoring scope planning and execution of work efficiently.
- Development of routine and annual microbiology technical proposals for existing and new clients, including chemical and dissolved oxygen monitoring services when applicable.
- Key customer account management and attendance at client meetings.
- To liaise with the proposals team in reviewing sales quotations and pricing.
- Assist with raising requisitions (PRs) in SAP and liaising with the procurement team to ensure purchase Orders (POs) are raised and issued, with lead times confirmed from suppliers.
- Responsible for all Microbiology report writing with support from the Integrity Monitoring Ops team.
- Interface with workshop & logistics, and liaison with the microbiology laboratory for kit collection and delivery. Update workshop MPP as per company requirements.
- Chair Biweekly catchup calls with NCIMB and update on upcoming scopes.
- Delivery of basic microbiological training to staff, partners and clients if required.
- Assist with reviewing and updating microbiology operational procedures, risks assessments and forms in the BMS.
- Offshore as and when required to perform microbiologyonly survey scopes.
