Part Time Science Teacher

Qualiteach is currently working with a PRU who is looking for a Part Time Science Teacher to join them 3 days a week until the end of July.

They are ideally looking for someone who has previously worked in a PRU or taught students with behavioural needs butisn't essential.

You will be following the UK National Curriculum and will need to plan and adapt your lessons to meet the individual needs of 6-8 students.

Some of the students you will be teaching will be working towards their GCSEs and others will be workingat a slightly lower level.

During your lessons you will always have 2/3 Teaching Assistants who will be there to support the students and manage any behaviour that occurs.

Therefore, the ideal Part Time Science Teacher will need to have previous experience,be able to make their lessons fun and engaging and also be able to build a strong working relationship.

PRU

This PRU is found in the London borough of Southwark and caters for students between the aged of 11 and 16, who have been removed from a mainstream school on a temporary or permanent basis.

They currently have 50 students who attend and in their last Ofstedin 2019, they were awarded 'Good' in all areas.

This school doesn't have an onsite car park but there is parking available in the surrounding streets and is a 10 minute walk from the close station making it an easy commute from most areas of London.
