Metallic Elephant is a leading manufacturer of high-quality magnesium etching products for various industries.

We are currently seeking a Trainee Magnesium Etcher to join our growing team at our manufacturing centre based in the beautiful Essex countryside, just outside Colchester.

Job Description:

As a Trainee Magnesium Etcher, you will be responsible for learning and mastering the art of magnesium etching.

This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training and the opportunity to develop new skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand the properties of magnesium and the etching process
• Prepare magnesium plates for etching
• Operate etching equipment to create precise and accurate designs
• Monitor and adjust etching process parameters for optimal results
• Inspect etched plates for quality control and make any necessary adjustments
• Finish plates to a high stand using Dremels, Bandsaws, and Sanders
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• No prior experience required, onthejob training will be provided
• Basic understanding of math and measurements
• Good handeye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 25 kgs
