As part of the Wessex Multi-Academy Trust, St Mary's CE Middle School Inclusion Department currently have two varied teaching assistant roles available.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an experienced and expanding supportive team, partly due to internal promotions.


1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to support a specific child (30 hours per week)
Experience of working with children with specific learning difficulties including SALT, dyslexia, ADHD and ASC is desirable.


Teaching Assistant to work within our Complex Communication Needs Base (30 hours over 5 days)


We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will work within our Complex Communication Needs Base and within the classroom.


The successful applicant will have good communication skills, a 'can do' attitude, team-working skills and the ability to be flexible and work in a self-motivated way.

St Mary's is a thriving middle school, where everyone's learning is at the core of our community.


The post holder will work in the mainstream school as well as working alongside small groups and individuals with ASD, dyslexia and speech and language needs.

Experience with students who have Complex Communication Needs would be beneficial but not essential.


This is a fixed term post until the end of the academic year.
