About the Role

  • We're looking for 2 Project Planners to join our Programme Operations team based from Ampthill, Bedfordshire. These roles benefit from our 4xFlex working pattern, 4 day working week Monday
  • Thursday giving you every Friday off. Also benefiting from hybrid working with typically 2 days a week onsite.

The Project Planner shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • Generating Reports and Planning Management data inputs to Function and Programme.
  • Maintenance, review and reporting of the Integrated Master Schedule and associated performance metrics against the baseline.
  • Incorporation of LMUK subcontractor schedules into the LMUK IMS.
  • Endtoend lifecycle of planning and schedule management in support of program capture and execution.
  • Lead proposal preparation planning including development of planning artefacts for solicitation response.
  • Interfaces with program management, senior management and the contractual customer as the programs planning integrator.
  • Validates cost and schedule integration for effective program performance management.
  • Devises modelling and measuring techniques to integrate risks and opportunities with schedule and cost baseline. Performs timephased predictive analyses, critical path verification and schedule risk assessments to assure the capability of the program to meet their commitments.
  • Resolves schedule conflicts, develops and implements mitigations and workaround strategies.
  • Performance and health metrics analysis to drive actions resulting in improved program performance.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Experience as a Project Planner, Scheduler, Coordinator, Controller, Data Analyst or related role
  • Ability to work with, analyse and understand key performance data and metrics
  • Good attention to detail / analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly pick up new toolsets and processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a PMO (Project Management Office) environment

Desirable Skills

  • Projects experience within Engineering or Defence
