The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Senior Practice Nurse.


The Senior Practice Nurse will form an integral part of the Clinical Team for the Newmarket Specialist Mental Health Service, working in close collaboration with the Registered Managers, education and care staff team.


To be responsible and have clinical oversight of the physical health needs and wellbeing of young people, in addition to ensuring they achieve key outcomes as set out in their health plans, through close working with operational care staff team, education,multi-disciplinary team members and external professionals such as GP, CAMHS and Social Worker.

To liaise with the consultant psychiatrist on the review of the young person's mental health needs and medications plan and take lead clinical responsibilitiesof medication administration and management by monitoring medication compliance and supporting care staff.

We can consider flexible working patterns, part-time working.

We are looking for Registered Nurse who has:
Minimal 3 years' experience
RGN/RNLD/RMN/RSCN with a current Pin Number

School Nursing/community public health/Health visitor experience & qualification an advantage.

Experience of working with Looked After Children

Experience and skills in meeting CYP physical health needs including knowledge of government Healthy Child programme.

Experience in CAMHS (community or in-patient services)
Be patient centred and have a commitment to delivering high quality care
Good decision-making skills
Excellent organisational capacity
Effective communication skills
Be autonomous in practice
