Frimley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and innovative Wellbeing Clinical Leadership Fellow to join the BSMS Leadership and Education Fellowship Programme.

This unique part-time role (3 days per week) involves spearheading the development and implementation of wellbeing projects tailored to enhance the mental, emotional, and physical health of junior doctors at Frimley Park Hospital.

Design and lead initiatives focused on supporting the wellbeing of junior doctors.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate these initiatives into the hospital's culture.

Monitor and assess the impact of wellbeing projects, providing feedback and updates to stakeholders.

Participate in a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership and Commissioning, enhancing leadership skills and professional development.

We are hiring a Wellbeing Clinical Leadership Fellow at Frimley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This post involves two days per week in the fellowship role and one day per week enrolled in a Post-Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership and Commissioning.

You would be part of the BSMS Leadership and Education Fellowship Programme, which is a bespoke development programme that aims to enhance the experience and education of the medical workforce, sponsored by KSS Deanery.


The position requires a postgraduate medical professional at IMT3+ level with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a keen interest in promoting wellbeing within the medical workforce.


Job Purpose:


Job Plan:

0.4 WTE (2 days) dedicated to the wellbeing stream, focusing on the planning, development, and implementation of wellbeing projects.


0.2 WTE (1 day) allocated for participating in the fellowship development programme, including completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership and Commissioning at BSMS, Learning Network attendance and personal study.


The part-time nature of this role allows you flexibility in your work life balance and the option to follow other clinical or non-clinical interests in the remainder of your week.

In addition to their salary, the fellow will also be allocated a £650 study budget from the Educational Department.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Design and lead wellbeing projects tailored to the needs of junior doctors, fostering a supportive work environment.


Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and university faculty, to integrate wellbeing initiatives into the hospital's culture.

Serve as a point of contact for junior doctors, offering guidance, support, and resources related to wellbeing.

Monitor and evaluate the impact of wellbeing projects, providing regular updates and feedback to stakeholders.

Participate in leadership and professional development activities, sharing insights and learning from the wellbeing stream.
