  • This role will establish high impact and effective faculty marketing and recruitment campaigns, including writing and overseeing production of all marketing collateral, advertising campaigns and conversion activities, in print and digital for its portfolio of courses in both domestic, EU and overseas markets. Other duties will include profile raising activity, market intelligence, brand positioning, and enhancing web presence, working closely with the wider Student Recruitment and Directorate teams, events management and customer relationship management. This is a fulltime position working 37 hours per week on a hybrid basis. The role starts 03/01/23 with a proposed end date of 31/05/2023
Duties and responsibilities


Strategy and planning To support the Faculty Marketing and Recruitment Manager in the review, development and implementation of marketing and recruitment planning To understand the faculty's key priorities, course portfolio to ensure the marketing and recruitment plan is 'fit for purpose'.

To support the Faculty Marketing and Recruitment Manager on recruitment reporting Coordinate the development and implementation of tactical recruitment and conversion campaigns and marketing projects for the faculty, including leading on open day planning in the faculty and contribute to wider open day planning.

To lead development of highly creative and innovative marketing and recruitment solutions, specifically for domestic, EU and key international audiences; incorporating digital (including video) content and asset production, and social media campaigns.

This will include managing relationships with authorised external media and communications providers as appropriate to ensure delivery of high quality and effective materials To lead in coordinating production of all faculty print and digital marketing collateral (including writing, editing and proof-reading) ensuring the faculty has an appropriate and consistent look and feel within the DMU brand.

This includes liaising with external agencies and the in house design team, and web team to ensure jobs are completed creatively, achieve value for money and are of a suitable quality Ensure that the Faculty web and digital content is accurate, innovative and fit for purpose Identify innovative multi-media and photography projects to support faculty marketing and recruitment activities To maintain expert understanding of the undergraduate and postgraduate domestic markets and current trends and how to effectively engage with prospective students Establish and maintain an expert understanding of key business markets appropriate to the faculty, working closely with the Market Insight team to keep abreast of changing patterns in UK, EU and international marketing and recruitment Oversee the development and running of recruitment and profile-raising faculty events, working closely with the university's events and wider Directorate teams To develop and lead implementation of effective CRM-led annual conversion plans with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager To lead on student recruitment related projects across teams, co-ordinating schedules and plans as required Supporting the Marketing and Recruitment Officer, Digital Content Officer and Marketing Assistant in the team with projects, providing advice and guidance when required.

To assist with budget planning, monitoring and reporting for relevant budget areas.

Management/Communication To work closely with the Faculty Marketing and Recruitment Manager to ensure all work is on brand, to brief, highly creative, appropriate for the target audience and impactful.

Provide operational leadership for all Faculty marketing and recruitment activities, and any dedicated staff resource as required To support the management and implementation of the conversion activity through advance planning and close liaison with the wider team.

To work closely with the Faculty Admissions team to ensure faculty recruitment objectives are met.

To manage relationships with authorised external media and communications providers as appropriate to ensure delivery of high quality and first class materials Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and recruitment plans, campaigns and marketing collateral, providing updates and recommend changes both in-year and for the coming academic cycles.

To also produce regular management information reports Ensure all marketing plans and reporting documents are kept up to date with proposals and results from activity.

Provide professional advice and support to staff across the university on all matters relating to faculty marketing Work with the Communications team to establish an appropriate tone of voice and support them to capitalise on / respond to, all available exposure opportunities for the faculty Oversee Faculty social channels.

Ensure regular content is updated and increase engagement. Work alongside the central DMU social media tea
