Days Regular Shift Pattern:

Monday - Thursday : 07.00am - 4pm

Friday: 07.00am - 2.45pm

We are currently working with a company that specialise in designing and manufacturing a variety of commercial products. Some of the clients they support include leisure centres, Spa facilities, hotels, restaurants and much more.

Job Role Summary

As CAD Technician, you will provide design input and 3D CAD drawing service for Contracts and Design team, working as part of the in-house CAD team.

The Design & Contracts Department is fast paced with many projects running at various locations on the same day, it is important that you are able to prioritise and organise your workload efficiently.

Skills/Attributes required:

Must possess excellent 3D CAD modelling skills using Autodesk Inventor. Good knowledge of parametric control /iLogic would be an advantage.
Proficiency in reading construction/manufacturing drawings.
Able to work from architectural design drawings and written brief to produce detailed design and manufacturing drawings for specific and bespoke products. Initial product training will be given.
Good Communication skills both to accurately convey and retrieve information from variety of sources and media.
Organisation and time/task management skills are important.
The ability to be a team player and to be accountable.

Applicants must have experience/proven track record in 3D modeling and producing conventional design and construction drawings. The site use Autodesk Software platform incorporating Inventor, AutoCad, Vault etc. Primary drawing format is Inventor. Experiencein manufacturing and/or construction is preferable.

Main Job Role:

Working with Project Managers & Design Managers to produce drawings for a specific project as specified in the contracted package of work.
Initial modelling of bespoke items to include joinery items, sheet metal parts, steel fabrications, ceramic and sanitary ware, brassware and ironmongery.
Manipulation of parametric library parts to include Site standard ranges such as cubicles and paneling systems.
Assembly of full room layout models.
Produce drawings sets from models to provide architectural drawings for approval and manufacturing drawings for Site workshop and third party fabricators.
These primary responsibilities will be undertaken in collaboration with existing Site staff, and training/ support requirements will be evaluated ongoing.
