Richard Huish Sixth Form College and has a strong reputation regionally in its offer of a wide range of A level and vocational courses in Taunton and the surrounding areas in Somerset.


Richard Huish College is excited to announce the opportunity to become one of our Progress Tutors, who contribute to our highly successful student pastoral provision.


The main focus of each Progress Tutors role is the delivery of the tutorial programme to a number of tutor groups.

The management of these tutor groups will be the responsibility of the Progress Tutors and will include supporting and guiding individual tutees.

It will also involve the supervision of some study time for each tutor group every week.

Other key duties will include liaising with the Careers and Progression team, academic staff and other support staff in order to ensure that our students achieve their very best.

  • Hours: 37hrs per week, term time only plus 1 week (40 weeks)
  • Salary: £23,585 £26,097 FTE Point 711 on the Support Staff Scale (actual salary £21,258
- £23,522) depending on experience

  • Contract: full time, fixed term, maternity leave cover up to one year
  • Start date: 27th August 202
  • Closing date: 9am on the 8th May 202
  • Interview: Wednesday 15th May 2024
