As a CFO at Axcelera you will focus on what you do best, providing strategic direction and not getting involved in the operational weeds.
You will be heading the team and will be working with our great Financial Controllers and Management Accountants who will take care of all of that.
You will have access to our best practice tool kit but we will trust your judgement to know when and whether you use it.
The Role
As a self-employed CFO at Axcelera, you will join our team and work with a portfolio of clients across various sectors and industries.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic financial guidance and insights to the clients
- Developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and reports
- Managing cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations
- Leading and mentoring the finance team and collaborating with other stakeholders
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks and opportunities
You will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CFO or equivalent in a corporate or SME environment
- A professional qualification in accounting, finance, or related field (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
- A proven track record of delivering financial results and value creation
- A strong understanding of the SME market and the challenges and opportunities it presents
- A high level of analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
- A flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work
- A willingness to travel to client sites as required

You will work closely with our team of Finance professionals in a highly supportive environment, to create a great fractional finance function which perfectly aligns the strategic and operational facets to give our clients the numbers that axcelerate their growth.
You will be available for a minimum of 2 days per week and work 7.5-hour days on a self-employed basis.
Can travel happily within 45min to work with clients onsite, although most of our clients work on a hybrid basis so there will also be an element of home working.
