Salary:
BG8 £24,948 - £26,845 (pro-rata £21,817 - £23,476)


Start Date: 25 September 2023 (or earlier by agreement)

Contract Type:
Full-time, term time only (38 weeks + 5 INSET days)

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the highest achieving schools in Bristol.

We are looking to recruit an outstanding Attendance Coordinator to contribute to and support the essential work of our Pastoral Team.


Core tasks:


  • Drive wholeschool attendance, working under the guidance of the Senior Pastoral Lead and with the schools Pastoral team (Heads Of Year/Wellbeing Leads,Behaviour Manager) to achieve the school's attendance targets and sustain ongoing improvement in school attendance.
  • Provide day to day wholeschool lesson attendance monitoring, ensuring that attendance is accurately recorded and absence is challenged.
  • Identify trends in attendance, across groups of children and for individuals, and implement procedures to tackle concerns.
  • Work with children and families to support them in improving school attendance.
  • Promote good attendance through student contact, providing information to parents/carers, posting celebratory attendance information and producing attendance praise certificates/postcards.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider support staff team as appropriate

Redland Green School is part of the Gatehouse Green Learning Trust and is a high performing comprehensive school serving the local area of Redland in north Bristol.
