Product Specialist (Automotive Accessories)

  • Hybrid working (head office / remote split)
  • Salary circa £39K + performance bonus
  • Permanent
  • Near Epsom, Surrey (due to location own transport is beneficial)


Our client, a global automotive company based near Epsom, is looking for an Accessories Product Specialist to help grow revenue and profit within the business.

This is an extremely varied and exciting role with huge potential. You will be responsible for managingthe launch of new vehicle accessory packs including pricing, campaigns and business proposals. This role would ideally suit someone with a good commercial awareness and attention to detail.


Role in a nutshell:


The Accessories Team:


Are responsible for driving the business to achieve the revenue and profit targets via the channels of Customisation, Dealer Fit and Grade Fit.


The Opportunity:


  • Manage the product launch life cycle of selected accessories both genuine and locally approved
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and ontime delivery of accessory products in line with vehicle product launches
  • Identify market gaps and opportunities for accessory sales, propose effective and factbased solutions to address them
  • Manage and support the operations of various incentive programmes designed to drive performance in the Centre network including systems management of accessory packs
  • Project management of major supporting workstreams, alongside day to day activities.
  • Performance analysis of existing product lines and models, to ensure annual targets are being met
  • Respond to issues raised through logistics and customer contact channels
  • Creation of UK price lists

About you:


  • Are organised, good at process management
  • Think before doing
  • Have commercial acumen, corporate experience and are confident
  • Have an Automotive interest
  • Have some Pricing knowledge
  • Able to learn systems knowledge of AS/400 advantageous

You might be currently:


  • In an Aftersales role in Automotive Vehicle Management
  • An Aftersales Manager in a Dealership
  • In Corporate Aftersales / Corporate Dealer background
  • Working in a corporate Head office

Essential experience:


  • Commercial experience
  • Working in and with multiple teams
  • Project management and prioritisation
  • Good IT skills (especially Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable experience:


  • Knowledge of Motor Industry and working for a Vehicle Manufacturer / Retailer Experience
  • Experience working with corporate teams overseas
